Winter Wonderland

Abe's wishes came true, and we actually got some snow. He really didn't think that it could be Christmas time without snow. In his prayer tonight he thanked Heavenly Father for the snow because "it made all the kids happy." Nellie actually enjoyed it too, and she was mad that we didn't let her get down and play in it. Riggy stayed warm inside. He had already played in the snow earlier in the day with his cousins.

A neigbhor's tree branch gave way under the weight of the snow and fell in the backyard.

Dizzy Sister

The kids have actually been playing really well together the past few days. The boys especially love playing with their Nellie. Last night Abe lifted her up into the office chair and the boys spun her around.

You can see from the picture that their little feet were actually running.

She looks like she's about to fall off, but she was holding on.

She looks a little dizzy!

Yet she was upset when her brothers pulled her off so that they could have a turn getting dizzy.

Ginger Bread House

These kids are hillarious! Abe has been begging to do a ginger bread house or ginger bread cookies for a long time. We finally decorates a ginger bread house for fhe. The kids loved decorating it. They asked me 100 times today if they could eat it.

Abe

I;ve done individual posts of both Riggy and Nellie so I thought that Abe needed some attention (my mother guilt). We often find him sleeping in funny positions.

What a thoughtful boy!

Why we LOVE Vegas

I'm behind on posting pictures. These are the kids enjoying a beautiful autumn day in mid-November. Yes, short-sleeves in mid-november. We really enjoyed the good weather.

Family Movie Night

The kids love watching movies as a family. Sometimes we bring all the mattresses into the family room and have sleepovers. Sunday we didn't let them have a sleepover, but we did let them stay up late so we could all watch a movie together.

Batgirl?

Rigdon has been dressing up as Batman or Superman everyday since he borrowed this cape from Marcie. Nellie brought it to me to put on her. I guess she thinks there should be a Batgirl.
Here she is saying "Ahh Maa" Batman?

Riggy's 3rd Birthday

Our Little Superhero

Trying to blow out his birthday candles

Batman

Our little Riggy turned 3! He has waited for this birthday since Abe had his in May. We are so glad that we have had him in our family and home for the past 3 years. He has such a loving personality. Sunday night we celebrated with extended family with cake, ice cream and presents. On Tuesday (his actual birthday), he wanted donuts for breakfast (he is definitely my son). Then me spent the afternoon at the park. And a trip to Target to spend his birthday money. We ended the evening by all saying 3 things that we love about Rigdon. The list included:

  • His sweet little voice (we always have to ask him to talk louder)
  • How he talks to Nellie in a really cute high pitched voice like she is a little baby
  • He comes into our room in the mornings and asks, "Can I nsnuggles you?"
  • He is a daredevil
  • He says things like, "Oh I have a good idea..."
  • He is a good big and little brother

We love that little guy so much! Words can't encapsulate all that we see and love in him.
